PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Gan Gabi provides a high quality program that incorporates Jewish values through all areas of a child’s development based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) through an integrated approach. The EYLF is a guide which consists of Principles, Practices and Learning Outcomes along with each of their sub outcomes, based on your child’s identity, community, wellbeing, learning and communication. The Learning Outcomes are used to reflect on the children’s learning in a holistic manner and focus on what a child can achieve. This Framework enables Early Childhood professionals, Educators and Early Childhood Teachers to extend and enrich children’s learning, provide opportunities for them to develop a foundation for learning and for children to become successful learners.

The program emphasises learning as an interactive process and together a Jewish richness is embedded. Educators will prepare the environment for children to learn through active exploration. Opportunities are provided for children to choose from a variety of activities, materials and equipment with time to explore through discovery and involvement. Educators facilitate children’s engagement with materials and activities and extend the children’s interests and learning by asking questions or making suggestions that stimulate children’s thinking.
